 Octagon

• An octagon is a polygon (a flat shape) with 8 equal sides and equal angles.
• The degree of each angle is 135 degrees.
•  I know that I can add 135 degrees, 8 times to get the sum of my shape’s angles.
• The total sum of the octagon’s angles is 1,080 degrees.
• The octagon has eight lines of symmetry
• Three real-world objects shaped like an octagon are: STOP sign, top of an umbrella, some windows.
